How has COVID-19 affected your practice?

I am currently offering both in-person and virtual sessions. It is also possible to do some combination of the two. If you are hoping to use insurance, I recommend that you check with your insurance company ahead of time in order to know what your plan does and does not cover.

For virtual appointments, I offer tele-therapy through a program called doxy.me. It is safe, secure, free, and easy to use. As long as you have a device with a web browser, camera, and microphone (lap top, phone, tablet, etc…), you simply have to click the link to my virtual “waiting room” just before your appointment is scheduled to begin. I will see that you have arrived and I will begin the video session at the agreed upon time.

How much does therapy cost?

Please contact me to discuss rates. I reserve a limited number of time slots for clients who need a sliding scale for financial reasons.

What is the cancellation policy?

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. Missed appointments or appointments that are cancelled with fewer that 24 hours notice will result in a charge of the regular session fee. It is important to know that insurance does not reimburse for missed sessions.

Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network with two plans: Highmark and Quest Behavioral Health. Otherwise, I am an “out-of-network provider.” Highmark consists of a complex network that includes most Blue Cross Blue Shield plans from across the United States except for Independence. There are some other rare exceptions. If you go to your plan’s website and search for in-network providers, you should be able to determine whether or not I am in-network with your particular plan.

If I am an out-of network provider for you, then it is still possible that insurance might cover some of the cost of your treatment. Upon request, I can issue a monthly invoice for you to submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement of the cost of therapy. Your eligibility for reimbursement will depend on your particular plan. I recommend that you contact your insurance company to learn the specifics of your mental health coverage. I am also happy to help you with this process.

Where is your office?

My office is located in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of center city Philadelphia. It is within several blocks of stations for SEPTA Regional Rail, PATCO, the Market-Frankford Line, and the Broad Street Line.
